To get work done efficiently (and therefore affordably). It is critical that the correct equipment is used. The machinery, Colin's team is using at the moment is an 8 wheel drive Valmet 820 Forwarder with crane, this machine will travel on all surfaces, wet ground, steep slopes and rough terrain.

The other machine is a Valmet 905 tractor with a fitted Botex crane and an 8 ton Igland winch fitted on the hydraulics. Colin employs experienced tree fellers to fell the allocated timber. These men are fully trained and certified in the use of chain saws and driving the machinery.
